The People Show
The ever-popular People Show opens at the University Gallery on the 21 January 2005 with a
unique exhibition of paintings, drawings, watercolours, prints, photography, sculpture and film by
some of the North East’s most talented artists.

Devised and sponsored by Cravens Advertising, the competition is designed not only to
encourage and promote the spirit of creativity in the North East - from students to professional
artists - but also gives residents and visitors to the region the opportunity to purchase original
works of art.

The most inspiring and striking works of art, selected by a panel of judges from the world of art,
industry and communications, will receive prizes - from £250 to £1000 - along with a new Student
Award, to celebrate the region’s finest up and coming creative talent.
